Dr. Yogesh Manohar Shastri obtained his MBBS from the Government Medical College, Jabalpur, India. Following this, he obtained his MD (Internal Medicine) from the renowned University of Mumbai, India. In 2004, Dr. Yogesh obtained his super-speciality DNB (Diplomate of National Board) in Medical Gastroenterology from the prestigious Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, India. Dr. Yogesh has over 16 years of experience in the field of medical gastroenterology, therapeutic endoscopy and Hepatology.
Following his Gastroenterology training, he acquired advanced training at the world-renowned Goethe University Hospital, Frankfurt, Germany, where he got trained in advanced therapeutic endoscopy and Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-pancreatography (ERCP), as a clinical therapeutic fellow for 4 years.
Subsequent to this, he proceeded for Clinical Fellowship and advanced training in Endoscopic Ultrasound at the Institute Paoli-Calmettes, Marseille, France, under the supervision of the world authority on EUS, Prof. Marc Giovannini. Thereon, he moved back to India, where he worked in Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai (one of the largest corporate hospitals in India) as a Consultant Gastroenterologist and therapeutic endoscopist for nearly 3 years.
Dr. Yogesh joined NMC Specialty Hospital, Abu Dhabi, in 2012. He heads the Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and also chairs the Endoscopic Ultrasound program, one of the first programs in the private sector in Abu Dhabi and one of the very few in the UAE.
His areas of interest include endoscopic ultrasound, therapeutic endoscopy, and hepatobiliary interventions (ERCP) and endoscopic bariatric procedures.
Dr. Yogesh has many publications under his belt. He has published about 100 articles, including 15 original articles and various book chapters. He regularly participates in national and international conferences to keep himself abreast of the latest advances in his field.

He is the chairman and founder of Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG) at Hyderabad, the biggest gastroenterology hospital in the world.He received the Padma Shri award in 2002 and Padma Bhushan award in 2016.

An elected fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences,he was given the world's highest gastroenterology award in Shanghai, China, at a function held in September, 2013.He was conferred with the Rudolf V. Schindler Award, the highest category in the prestigious Crystal Awards named after Schindler, who is considered as “the father of gastroscopy” by American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE)

Prateek Sharma, MD, FASGE, FACP, FACG is Professor of Medicine and Director of the GI Fellowship Program at the University of Kansas School of 
Medicine. He is also the Elaine Blaylock Endowed Professor at the Kansas University Cancer Center. He completed his internal medicine residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee and his gastroenterology 
fellowship at the University of Arizona in Tucson. Dr. Sharma has been at the forefront in improving diagnosis and management of GI diseases and cancer, 
specifically esophageal diseases, GERD, Barrett’s esophagus, imaging, artificial intelligence, digital health, sustainable healthcare and endoscopic 
treatments. He is a world-renowned physician, teacher, and educator.Dr. Sharma has been interviewed by CNN, the Wall Street Journal,and Newsweek. He has over 500 publications, including guidelines and book 
chapters, and is regularly invited to present at major national and international meetings. He has published several important textbooks in medicine. Dr. Sharma continues to publish in several high-profile international journals, 
including the New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine, Gastroenterology, American Journal of Gastroenterology andGastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Sharma is currently the President of the 
American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). He has recently been named as the chair of the Artificial Intelligence Institute for 
Gastroenterology and a member of the United Nations' Internet Governance Forum (Coalition on Digital Health). He is the past President of the 
International Society of Diseases of the Esophagus. Dr. Sharma has received several international awards including the World Endoscopy Organization (WEO) Master Educator Award, the American Gastroenterological Association 
(AGA) Research Mentor Award, and the ASGE Distinguished Endoscopic Mentoring Award

Dr Amol Bapaye is an interventional GI endoscopist and  specializes in advanced biliary and pancreatic ERCP, diagnostic and interventional EUS, advanced endoscopic surgical procedures like ESD, POEM, STER and EFTR. 

He is amongst the best known ERCP & EUS experts in India.

He specializes in GI interventions for esophageal obstructions including cancers, non surgical management of stomach and intestinal   bleeds, removal of polyps, stenting of bile and pancreatic leaks and cancerous obstructions, removal of simple and difficult CBD and pancreatic stones. He is credited with introduction of Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection(ESD), a new endoscopic surgical technique.

He is the first Endoscopist from Pune to be conferred a fellowship of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy(FASGE), which is reserved for individuals who have made significant contributions to the field of Endoscopy. Currently there are only about 300 doctors across the globe, who share this honour. 

Dr Sameer Al-Awadhi is a Arab Board-Certified Consultant Gastroenterologist with 15 years of experience in the Middle East, United Kingdom, Ireland and United States. He is based in Dubai and sees patients at United Medical Center, Rashid Hospital and Valiant Healthcare.

Dr Al-Awadhi completed his medical degree at Aberdeen University, UK in 1999. Following his training, he became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians and the Royal College of Physicians of Glasgow in 2007 and was certified by the Arab Board of Health Specialisations in 2009. Dr Al-Awadhi is also a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh (UK) and the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland in addition to a Fellow of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (USA).

Dr Al-Awadhi has expertise in the management of diseases of the oesophagus, stomach, colon, gallbladder, liver and pancreas. The conditions he treats include: acute and chronic liver disease, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, H. pylori infection, GORD, pancreatitis, gallbladder disease and obesity. He offers a number of surgical procedures at United Medical Center, such as endoscopic procedures, gastric balloon, colonoscopy, polypectomy, urea breath testing, capsule endoscopy and FibroScan.

Dr. Khaled Bamakhrama is an Associate Professor of Medicine at Dubai Medical College and Consultant Physician and Gastroenterologist at Rashid Hospital in Dubai. Medical graduate from Sanaa University, and  is MRCP from the Royal Colleges of Physicians, UK, & Arab Board in Internal Medicine. Dr. Khaled further specialized in advanced endoscopy with fellowship training at Herlev Hospital, Copenhagen University, Denmark, in 2013.
He was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh-FRCP in 2016 and in 2017 as a Fellow of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy-FASGE. He is an active member of Emirates Society of Gastroenterology, European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy.

Dr. Mohammad Badre Alam, MD, is a Staff Physician within the Gastroenterology Department of Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi’s Digestive Disease Institute.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Alam was a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Burjeel Hospital and Mafraq Hospital, both in Abu Dhabi.

Dr. Alam received his medical degree from Kolkata University, India. He completed his Internal Medicine residency at Liverpool Hospital, New South Wales, Australia. He also completed his Gastroenterology and Hepatology fellowship at Westmead Hospital, New South Wales, Australia.
